A hard attack on the last lap dropped Vervisch back to fourth, but Magnus kept his cool and collected the chequered flag with a 2.1-second lead, thereby also winning the Trophy classification for privateers – an early birthday present for the soon-to-be 22-year old. The second sprint saw Vervisch brilliantly fighting his way from ninth on start to second at the chequered flag, and setting the fastest lap time in the process, bringing home another trophy for Audi Sport customer racing. Once price and specifications have been finalized, customers’ can expect their cars in the third quarter of 2021. This touring car has been homologated for TCR racing, and combines cost-effective technology – from top-notch cockpit ergonomics to deeply configurable axle kinematics – while being customer-racing centric, with durable service lifespans of major components. This enables the Audi RS3 LMS gen II to race in about 30 licensed racing series globally as a worthy successor to the highly successful RS3 LMS that came before it.

BMW Asia today introduces the new BMW 5 Series Touring, the 'Executive Touring'.


Rockenfeller, who scored his maiden DTM victory at Zandvoort, started from fifth place and wasn’t able to improve his position during the race. In sixth to eighth place, Jamie Green (Mercedes-Benz), Timo Scheider (Audi) and Mercedes-Benz driver Gary Paffett still scored points for the championship. Italian Edoardo Mortara, who occupied fourth place in qualifying with his Audi A4 DTM, spun after a collision on the opening lap of the race and dropped back to the end of the field. Mortara came home 16th. The fourth DTM race weekend of the season takes place at the Lausitzring from June 17th till 19th.

Tomczyk Wins From Schumacher At Red Bull Ring

Spielberg provided a fantastic backdrop for the third round of the DTM at the Red Bull Ring in Austria.


In third place, Martin Tomczyk became the best-placed driver of a 2008-spec car and thrilled the spectators with spirited attacks and overtaking manoeuvres. His efforts were rewarded. In the points’ standings, he is currently third behind Rockenfeller. British driver Jamie Green lost his second place at the start and was also overtaken by Tomczyk during the race. The Mercedes-Benz driver finished fourth ahead of two times’ DTM champion Timo Scheider (Audi). Audi driver Edoardo Mortara from Italy already scored his first-ever championship points by finishing sixth in his second race. He was followed by Maro Engel (Mercedes-Benz) and Mattias Ekström with the Audi A4 DTM. The Swede started 16th and still scored one point by finishing eighth.

Curitiba To Host The Opening Of Two Car Racing Series

The capital of the Brazilian state, Paraná will be seeing the green flag for the FIA World Touring Car Championship and the Copa Caixa Stock Car series.


The season is set to be the best in years, with very strong interest from new teams and drivers and a close cooperation with HKAA in three of the six events. Motorsport Asia has received applications from Teams running Chevrolet’s and BMW’s as well as varied entries from the usually popular Honda’s. The Series’ will get underway on 20th March with its first ever visit to the Guangdong International Circuit, located in the Guangzhou province. It will then continue with four races in May at two Asian Festival Of Speed events. Rounds 3 & 4 will be held at the Korean International Circuit for the AFOS season opener before heading to Malaysia at the end of May for the next two rounds. ATCS will take a one-month break before meeting up again in Sepang for Rounds 7 & 8. The 2011 ATCS Season will end in Indonesia where the drivers are excited to make a return to the very challenging and resurfaced Sentul International Circuit.
